Pencarrow 12/07/24

The bus pick up went smoothly if not slowly, with Mike M cancelling on the day due to an injury to his wife. The route was Poole, Yetminster, Babcary (David’s mansion where his staff had taken time off and an old lady was leaving his house with a big smile on her face), Wells and Woolavington. A pit stop to enable Ben to get food supplies in caused a delay with the bus coming up against a serious crash on the M5. The bus was parked on the motorway for 2 hours and the Wanderers were able to get to know other marooned motorists. Another crash saw a further delay near Exeter, but by this time the evening fixture at Pencarrow had been cancelled. The Wanderers checked into the hotel then had an evening in Polzeath. What goes on tour stays on tour!
